Writing and the Holidays

Most of you know, I have been on several radio interviews. These have been so much fun talking about Shoe Marks. What a blessing it has been to have these hosts come forward and contact me asking if they could interveiw. How neat is that? My first interview, I was so nervous, I could barely get my words out. The second and third interviews were better and by my sixth, I was sailing through the questions with no problems. I found this trick works for me. As long as I don't look at the computer and see my face via skype, I a fine. I just protend I'm on the phone with a good friend! And several of the hosts have become good friends of mine. What a blessing that has been.

I am gearing up for The Monastery Murders and the sequel Identity. I am working fast and furious on The Cross Roads which will be a trilogy. The Monastery Murders have already gone out for reviews. I am so thankful for that. If you would like to be a reveiwer please do not hestitate to contact me. I also believe I have found a top notch editor.

Okay, that's a wrap folks. Please let me know you have read my blog. It encourages me to keep on with it!

The Cross Roads

Hello friends,

I've been working fast and furious on The Cross Roads Trilogy. This novel is geared for teens and adults who enjoy paranormal, thriller, romance and mystery. It's combination makes for a great love triangle in which Alli Banks must choose between the good and the evil only to discover these two men may not be whom they say they are... or are they?

Novels in the works!

Hello Friends,

I have been working non-stop on the Shoe Marks brochure. This brochure highlights the book, excerpts, reviews and my bio. Those that have read the brochure look up with tears running down their cheeks. This will be sent out to various places all over the country.

In addition, I have set up the Shoe Marks Face Book Page. This is for those who would like to leave a message concerning the novel or just talk about events of interest. I will check all four pages daily, when my time allows.

School is in session here in Texas. My daughter has gone back to school and is having the time of her life. I am so proud of her.

Been writing with vengeance on The Cross Roads and my new novel is in the works entitled Karen’s Story.

Okay, there’s the update.

Happy Reading,

Karen

Vacation

This week, my family and I went to Galveston Island. Our daughter, Meredith wanted Capri, her friend to come with her. Oh they, had a wonderful time swimming, jumping the waves and eating sea food.

I on the other hand, I took long walks along the sea shore with my sweetie. Just a few days of getting away to regroup, renew my spirit, body and mind was just what the doctor ordered.

Now, I am ready to go back to work and write on The Cross Roads.

Four hours of writing and dedication

Yesterday, with the exception of a few minor interruptions, I was able to write for four hours. I just let my fingers, do the talking. Sometimes, I don’t know where my story line will go. I just keep writing and ending up with something else I had not even thought about.

Meredith, my daughter sat on the floor as I wrote. Every once in a while, she would ask, “Read it to me.” After reading short bits, she would add her thoughts. Let me tell you, she is good. I have encouraged her to write a children’s book. I believe this is good for her to watch me, give ideas, and listen.

This morning, I decided to dedicate The Cross Roads to Meredith.
